Maintenance Training & Education

To get the most out of your maintenance strategy, all aspects of your maintenance organization must be used correctly and understood. Theoretical maintenance knowledge is needed for optimal communication and understanding of why your CMMS is set-up the way it is are essential. Our tailored programs aligns your employees.

Training and education of employees is not a one-time session when hired, a new project is implemented, new systems or processes is introduced in your organization. It is a continuous process that needs to be maintained with the highest possible focus to get the most out of your assets.

We center our Maintenance Training & Education around 3 main subjects:

  • Basic Maintenance Theory
  • Maintenance Systems
  • Maintenance Processes

The content of each will be tailored to your organizations way of work, system set-up and needs. We execute the program in 3 modules:

  1. Introduction and homework
  2. Live session modules within each main subject
  3. Aftermath actions

We make sure the participant shows up prepared by preparing introduction material which could be videos or one-pagers for each subject. This will be sent in advance along with your governing documents related to the subject for brush up. During the live session we provide the needed information and training for each employee to execute reliability increasing initiatives tomorrow. The hustle and hard work come afterwards where new routines must be secured. This is done by follow-up sessions, one on ones, group lesson learned meeting and KPI benchmarking.

Content of live sessions:

Basic Maintenance Theory

This subject will be set as the first session module in the program, where the fundamentals must be aligned. Your employees must be able to communicate effectively and understand the true meaning of the maintenance methodology according to the EN 13306 standard. In this module we also educate within operational profiles, criticality, redundancy, primary and secondary functions, function errors and patterns and the mindset needed to drive the reliability culture in your organization.

Maintenance Systems

The second session module will be education and walk-through training of the systems in your organization that is used to execute and manage your maintenance program. We will go through the relevant systems landscape and go trough how the employees identify the information they need. We will focus on the constant need for good data quality in any organization and how that is achieved step by step in the everyday work by given the understanding of why the given data is relevant for the individual employee and the entire organization. This module also consists of customized test to give a first impression on where to focus the aftermath program.

Maintenance Processes

The knowledge gained in the second session module set the important understanding on the effect and relation each maintenance process and procedure has in the often complexity in the process set-up. The purpose of this session is to clear out that complexity and give the employees prerequisite to succeed. That comprises the handling of data input and focus on from who or what does this action comes from, whom are the receiver of the input you give, and most of all why is this important for the individual in the long-term perspective. Step-by-step training and walk-through of the selected will be in focus and again be finished by customized tests, which also will be part of the aftermath initial focus

Our program is built to empower the employees and show the perhaps greater meaning and higher perspective of why your organization does what it does. All of course in close collaboration with you to achieve higher employee satisfaction and reliability of your assets.
